My Princess Nuala Silverlance cosplay from Hellboy 2.

This was worn for 2010 Auckland Armageddon, for my 6th competition. Along with my sister who cosplayed as Nuada, we won Best in Show for Auckland and then went up against the Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin winners and won the New Zealand title.

This photo was part of the Botanical Gardens photoshoot.
Thanks to :iconaurellion: for being our photographer for the day.

:iconvefalasiel and I worked on the two costumes over the year. It was our first year using craft foam which is awesome because it came out really well.

yes i made the whole thing. its made from 30,000 gold 3mm glass beads. she has 36 rows of beads on her corset so dont forget that. i have made the front of the corset out of plastic and craft foam and the back out of metal and foam. im happy to answer any questions.

My goodness what an amazing costume. I have to ask, how did you manage to make the belt? It is the best repro I have ever seen. I tried to make the belt using mardi-gras beads but I could not figure out the closure in the back. I would love to know how you met this challenge.

Hi, thank you very much...the corset(belt) is what i am most proud of. I individually threaded 30,000 beads onto fishing wire and spray painted them gold. There is 36 meters of bead on the corset. The ends of the string are then tied onto 2 metal corset Busks (inserts). This formed the thin sections of the back. Then i covered them with hook and eye ribbon and used a crap load of glue in the hope it would not fall apart. It worked amazingly!!!

I bow to you. Believe me when I say all your hard work shows, that is the best recreation of the belt I have ever seen.
